The Edge Punisher, considered a successor to the Heavy Blade class in version R:1 of The World, was one of the classes to appear in R:2. Much like the Heavy Blade, the Edge Punisher also uses large two-handed swords in combat.

The Edge Punisher's specialty is attacking. Although they are slower than most classes due to their heavy armor and weapons (in most cases, Broadswords), they do exceptionally well against "tanks", or heavily armored enemies.
