.hack//Gift is a one episode "Omake" received in Japan for buying all four .hack// games, though it came with .hack//Quarantine outside of Japan.
The episode is completely silly, and can be regarded as a joke/farce of the series, and requires knowledge of the series to fully understand some of the references.
