The .hack//G.U. trilogy is a film adaption of the .hack//G.U. games. While it doesn't quite go as in depth as the game series, and it misses out characters, it still provides a good summary of the games. Especially good for people outside of Japan and America who never had the chance to play them. It added a few unknown scenes to the story, and while it did have parts from the the games, it also had a few non-canon parts mainly the scenes with Atoli and Haseo
